Karene was recommended to us and what a recommendation it was.  We knew from the moment we spoke to her that she was right for us.  This continued throughout the course of the planning.  After an initial phone call with Karene, we made arrangements to meet up so we could discuss the finer details.  We knew we wanted her as she was so experienced and professional, along with being Scottish, she fitted into our theme perfectly.

Karene was organised and her attention to detail was second to none. She was on the ball with making sure that the ceremony was right for us.  Given we had a short space of time to get it right, Karene went the extra mile to make sure the day would be perfect for us.  I would definitely recommend Karene to anyone who is getting married or having a celebration.  Not only was Karene professional but she was fun and a good laugh to be around.

I work at Heaton House Farm wedding venue and Calluna Ceremonies (Karene) was recently the celebrant for one of the couples I coordinated for.  The ceremony that Karene conducted was truly beautiful; you can tell she loves what she does as a job, as she puts her heart and soul into the ceremonies.  This couple chose to have handfasting and ring warming during their ceremony and Karene fit it in perfectly, with amending the script on the day to make it more personal to the couple and the guests.  If you are looking for a personal, warm ceremony that is tailored to you then I couldn't recommend Calluna Ceremonies enough.

A surprise handfasting was a wonderful addition to our 50^th wedding celebration.  Your knowledge of our lives together was beautifully included in the verse you had written about us, and caused much laughter and a few happy tears.  The symbolism of the ribbons wrapped around our hands and the  final making of the knot was a perfect reminder of our years together and the steadfastness of our relationship – after all, fifty years is a long time to live with anyone!  Thank you for making our anniversary even more special.

Karene completed the Certificate in Family Celebrancy with the UK Society of Celebrants in 2022.  During the course, Karene created and delivered both wedding and naming ceremonies to an extremely high standard.  Karene’s positive and engaging personality, coupled with her creativity and her knowledge of elements which can make a truly bespoke ceremony, would make any couple or family more than happy to work with her.

We wanted a warm and official but relaxed ceremony and Karene really instinctively felt that and went with it.  Such a brilliant registrar, and SO many of our guests said that she made the ceremony, and that it was the best and most enjoyable ceremony they'd ever been to.

We would just like to pass sincere thanks and appreciation to our registrar, Karene.  We were busy shaking with nerves but she was incredible.  It was always an uncertainty about what the registrar would be like compared to our other vendors who we personally chose.  But she exceeded all our expectations.   She was so lovely in our pre-wedding meeting and made us feel safe.  During the ceremony she was fantastic, bringing personalisation and humour and romance to the ceremony that we never expected.

I just wanted to provide some lovely feedback about the wedding you conducted for my sister and brother-in-law.  There were many guests (who I completely agree with) who said how enjoyable and funny you made the ceremony.  Although I understand it is a serious part of the day, it makes such a difference when someone gets involved like you did and go with the flow of the people you are holding the ceremony for.  This was a personal experience for me - however, I see you do this at other ceremonies I have been the wedding co-ordinator for.

We have performed at a number of wedding ceremonies and we are present for the whole ceremony. Honestly, many of these ceremonies can become rather similar in sound and tend to blur into one; this was not the case with the wedding where Karene was celebrant.  Karene conducted the ceremony in a way that was professional and well-delivered, but also had notable personal touches that made the proceedings more welcoming and informal for the couple and their families.  So much so that this particular ceremony has stuck out in our minds.
